3rd National Confederate States of
America Flag

The
3rd National was adopted by Congress on March 8, 1865. Flag dimensions
were changed and a red band was sewn across the end of the fly.
Practically all 3rd national flags in existence are simply 2nd national
flags that were modified to appear as 3rd nationals. Therefore the
union (battle flag in corner) was square and not rectangular as
prescribed by law. I make them with a square union to match those in
existence.

100% durable pre-washed cotton fabric that flies well and the
colors do not run. The hoist (that part nearest the staff) is sturdy
cotton canvas - whipped eyelets and/or ties - components are sewn, not
printed on the fabric. This flag is handmade by me - not mass produced
and feels and looks like an original. Consequently it cost more than
"sewn component" flags which are "factory" made.
