Who makes the flags I sell?

I make my own flags in my home.  They are not mass produced. They feel and look like an original. Consequently they cost more than other "sewn component" flags which are "factory" made.

What type of fabric do I use?
I use 100% cotton fabric. It is a very strong weave and is color fast (colors do not run when wet).  I wash the fabric before I make the flag.  The hoist (that part nearest the staff) is sturdy cotton canvas - whipped eyelets and/or ties - components are sewn, not printed on the fabric.  The fabric allows the flag to fly easily in the wind.

How are the flags made?
I cut each piece of cloth myself.  Every single piece of the flag is sewn.  Not a single piece is printed, painted or embroidered.  The hoist is made of cotton canvas and has sewn eyelets (round) to attach the flag to a staff.  You must request brass grommets if you wish these.  There is no extra charge for brass grommets.

Can you furnish your own fabric?
It is impractical for me to use fabric supplied by anyone else.  I cannot garrantee the quality of such fabric and therefore cannot garrantee the quality of the flag.  Therefore I cannot make a flag with fabric supplied by a customer.

What method of shipping do I use?
I usually ship by USPS Priority Mail Insured.  However I have used UPS at times.

What does it cost to ship my flag?
The cost of shipping to you is included in the cost of the flag.

Return Policy

Handmade special order flags (example: flags with lettering or other added features not on a standard handmade flag) may only be returned if there is a defect in the workmanship of the flag. If you find such a problem with your flag, simply return it to me and I will repair or replace it at no charge to you. You must pay the shipping and insurance to return the same to us.

To authorize a return of a special order flag you must first contact me by email and describe the nature of the problem. This must be done within 7 days after you receive your order. You must pay any shipping and insurance charges when returning it to me. A handmade flag must be insured to cover the purchase price during shipping. If you return a hand made flag without insurance and it becomes lost in transit, then I are not responsible. Any flag must be returned to me in exactly the same condition in which you received the same.
